Mumuye figures were made by blacksmiths and were used for divination, healing, disposing justice and rainmaking. This figure stands on wedge shaped feet with tapered hips supporting a cylindrical bust with open work arms. The neck is elongated crowned by a small crested head, the ears are large and face diminutive.
