This Zande Yanda figure was used by the highest ranking members of the Mani society for fertility, protection against illness, evil spirits and in settling disputes.  The figure has a rich patina with heart shaped face, short arms, sturdy legs, bulging hips, accentuated navel with metal ear and hip rings.
